30.01.2015 – solder analog synth – workshop

I design, manufacture and run a workshop:
SOLDER AN ANALOG – FROM SCRATCH
workshop subtitle:
Through the basics of electronic and musical practice to building your own analog synthesizer.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
The workshop is designed for people interested in sound synthesis and music. During the workshop, each participant will build a photo-optical theremin, then a simple modular analog synthesizer equipped with an oscillator, resonating filter, LFO and envelope generator. No electronic knowledge or soldering practice is required – in keeping with the title, the workshop introduces the subject of building electronic instruments on your own from scratch. Not to stop at just engaging knowledge of electronics and engineering, the workshop will cover psychoacoustics, auditory psychophysiology and the basics of music theory. There will also be a place to recall the more interesting moments in the history of the development of analog electronic instruments.
