I presented a paper:
Gerard Grisey’s spectralism under the current research of P.Albouy on the effects of spectral-temporal modulations on speech and music perception

Degradation of sound in the temporal domain results in loss of speech intelligibility, while blurring of the spectral structure makes melody recognition difficult. Research in this area is being conducted by Philippe Albouy, among others, whose paper „Distinct sensitivity to spectro temporal modulation supports brain asymmetry for speech and melody” describes a discriminative experiment examining speech intelligibility and melody recognition thresholds for increasing degenerative distortion of speech recordings in the temporal domain and music recordings in the spectral domain. Can the above research shed new light on the creative methods and achievements of Gerard Grisey, who explored and expanded the boundaries of music and harmony with his compositions, where explored border area between feeling and understanding?
